codepoet on Local yogurt store tells blogger that Steve Jobs is “in great health”
Health freaks tend to have unrealistic views when it comes to a person's proper weight. When the crunchy folk say you're looking great, it's time for a burger or a doctor's visit.

codepoet on Letter from Apple CEO Steve Jobs
It's not health. Apple's been pulling out of shows for years, many of which Jobs did not go to. The show circuit has been dying a slow death since the bubble burst some 6-8 years ago and they're saving money by pulling out of them. It's a good business decision. I went to a couple of MacWorld Expos and, frankly, it felt like a gun show for Macs. It was interesting, but everything I saw there I could have discovered on a news site just as easily. It really wasn't worth my time or money.

codepoet on Letter from Apple CEO Steve Jobs
Woz is a great engineer. He is a horrible businessman. Well, perhaps not horrible, but certainly not anywhere close to what's needed to manage Apple.

codepoet on Laptop broke and I need the data from the hard drive. I'm totally computer ignorant. Can redditors tell me what to do please?
Especially since you know the data recovery shops are already doing this. God knows what kind of porn servers have cropped up among the techs at those places.

Happy 50th Birthday Clancy BrownTo my generation, he’s the Kurgan! MacLeod’s final and most ruthless opponent for the Prize in Highlander. Others may know him as the vicious Captain Hadley from The Shawshank Redemption. And to my nieces and nephews, he’s Mr. Eugene Krabs in Spongebob Squarepants. Clancy usually excels when he plays heavies because the times he’s a good guy or ally, the movie or show tends to do poorly, despite his great acting ability. The PlayStation network does have Bad Boys on its list but I doubt I can convince my wife to rent/download it since he’s only a minor character (who meets are rather unpleasant fate) and the subject matter (a juvenile-young adult prison) is rather gruesome. Maybe they have Highlander.
